E-Bike Monferrato

Explore the Region of Monferrato on an E-Bike

Italy is home to some of the most spectacular natural sights and wonders. However, these landscapes are so expansive that it’s impossible to travel to them with only your two feet. E-bike tours, otherwise known as electric bike tours, are the perfect way to see what Italy has to offer. Here are a few e-bike tours that exemplify the beauty of Italy.

Tour #1

This tour is all about exploring the finest views Piedmont has to offer. On this e-bike tour, bikers are able to explore the Langhe region, in the heart of Piedmont, Italy. Biking through vineyards that wind their way throughout the region and its many hills, and traveling down paths and paved roads that crisscross in and out of this stupendous area’s picturesque villages, participants are able to enjoy an authentic insider’s view of gorgeous Piedmont.

The area’s gently rolling hills make for a diverting e-bike tour that combines “wow” sights with momentum, fun, and energy. Plus, the e-bikes turn every challenging hill into an easy-breezy climb!
The tour starts in Alba with an introduction to the diverse world of winemaking in the area, and continues on to the castle of Grinzane Cavour. After viewing this architectural beauty, the tour heads to Castiglione Falletto and into Barolo, where bikers can savor a pleasant break, delicious lunch and a heritage-filled town with a noble past. After partaking in local delicacies, the tour ends by heading up to La Morra to take in a magnificent view from the top of the mountain.

This tour is a great chance to relish the best of Piedmont’s architectural masterpieces, like the colorful Barolo chapel and the grand Cordero di Montezemolo estate, and savor the natural beauty of Piedmont.

Tour #2

E-bike tours are meant to challenge experienced bikers and serve as an introduction to long-distance cycling for beginners. With this, the tours range in difficulty. This tour is great for first or second-time bikers who don’t see themselves taking on steep hills just yet, and wish to enjoy the best of Le Langhe.

This tour begins in Alba and travels through Barolo and La Morra, veritable staples of superb winemaking and tradition, and includes the world-celebrated Barbaresco area, renowned for its sweeping views of the region’s hilly landscape.
On this tour, bikers will encounter superb buildings, such as the Barbaresco tower that straddles the Tanaro river, and an evocative former church that now serves as a home for the regional wine of Barbaresco.

The tour continues to the medieval town of Neive, where participants can indulge in tasty local fare, and the qaint ambiance of an old town, before heading on to Treiso and then back in Alba.

Tour #3

Discover Moncalvo, a small village boasting fabulous sites and breathtaking views, and be prepared to gape, because this town is the smallest town in Italy! Just fancy, a tiny town where small winding streets lead to large arcades, and the open-air stadium where the ancient “Tamburello a muro” is played.
It’s the postcard-perfect stop for ice cream, drinks, and a genuine taste of old-time Monferrato, and bikers will never forget their stop here.

This said, the whole tour – 35 km in total, and perfect both for beginners and experienced bikers – is a great option for those looking for a history lesson and workout rolled into one trip.

The itinerary comprises the two ridges of the Val Cerrina, and the circular route that leads to the Sacro Monte di Crea sanctuary, immersed in nature and boasting 23 chapels built over various periods of time.

Originally founded as a Christian place of worship dating back to Roman times, the sanctuary embodies culture, history, and spirituality, and visitors are transported back in time when surrounded by these ancient buildings and all their glory.
Participants will no doubts enjoy a break, and mouthwatering lunch before biking back.

Tour #4

A biking tour to a UNESCO world heritage site! On this tour, bikers enjoy the fabulous opportunity to explore the homeland of Italian poet and novelist Cesare Pavese biking through delightful towns and areas such as Canelli, Calosso, Cassinasco, and Santo Stefano Belbo.

The tour begins in Canelli, home to the Torre dei Contini, a scenic tower, and then leads to Santo Stefano Belbo, Cesare Pavese’s hometown and birthplace, rich in heritage and a picturesque atmosphere.
The tour then carries on to Loazzolo, continues on the ridge with miraculous views of the wine country and sprawling landscapes, and takes bikers straight to a somewhat miraculous sight, the captivating Santuario dei Caffi.

Next, the tour winds into Cassinasco, where a large blue bench framed by the surrounding mountain peaks sets the scene for a splendid break, and marvelous photo.
Rolling vineyards and dramatic mountains, and then again history, architecture, lifestyle, and UNESCO world heritage sites make this bike tour an enriching cultural experience.

Explore Italy in a New Way

The beauty, elegance, and cultural splendor of Italy live in its rolling hills, winding roads, and spectacular mountains.
By taking an e-bike tour, visitors see all the magic of Italy from a new perspective. All in all, e-bike tours are a magnificent way to explore Italy’s countryside.
